To me, Lunar New Year is the most appropriate word to use. By using the word "Chinese New Year" you are offending non Chinese people who celebrate the festival. Do not hurt other ethnic backgrounds in Australia who celebrate it, especially now that China is illegally expanding its geographical borders (land and sea) and its grisps in South East Asia as it has always been the case for thousands years. Modern citizens of the world should stand for the rights of the vulnerable people rather than taking side ot the affluent powers.
